3-Stage Approval Process to Complete Building Construction in Bengaluru

🏗️ Stage 1: Obtain Occupancy Certificate (OC) from Town Planning Authority

An Occupancy Certificate is the green signal that your building is fit for habitation. To get this certificate, the Town Planning Authority requires:

  • 📐 Approved Building Plan: You must have an officially sanctioned plan from the competent town planning authority.

After you’ve received the BESCOM power connection, you can now apply for the BBMP Digital E-Khata—an essential document that officially recognizes your property in the municipal records for tax and ownership purposes.

BBMP now requires:

  • Valid BESCOM Power Connection Number

  • 📄 Proof of OC & Approved Plan

The Digital E-Khata is linked with your property tax account and will be reflected in BBMP’s online property records.
